This San Diego company specializes in restoring the glory of bathtubs, stopping leaks, and taking care of any minor damage. We offer different levels of pricing for a variety of tubs at different stages of life. Your time spent with us will be well worth the cost as you’ll know that your client bathroom is always spotless—no matter what.

San Diego Bathtub Refinishing can fix chips and cracks in the surface and make it look and feel like new again. You'll save thousands of dollars and stop the mess of demolition and expensive replacement for days or even weeks. The National Kitchen and Bath Association reports that removing and replacing a bathtub would cost at least $3,000 in total. Bathtub refinishing would cost a fraction of that!

What is the restoration process?

Our non-acid bathroom tub refinishing process ensures that porcelain, fiberglass, acrylic, and cultured marble bathtubs are completely restored. To extract soap scum, mineral deposits, and body oils, the tub is first thoroughly washed with specially formulated two-step cleaners. We use a special brush and equipment to remove the old coating while still preserving your original glaze. The process creates no dust, leaves behind little or no odor, and does not require hours of cleanup time afterward. After that, all cracks and chips are fixed. To ensure a solid bond between the old surface and the new finish, a bonding agent, MM-4, is applied. Finally, a qualified professional applies a high-tech, long-lasting acrylic coating using a fine-finish spray process. (This isn't paint for the bathtub!) We also have options for refinishing your plastic tub.

How long will the refinishing last?

When done correctly, bathtub refinishing will prolong the life of your tub by 10 to 15 years or more if you follow the same basic care and maintenance instructions as recommended by tub manufacturers. We don't suggest rough or abrasive cleaners, and neither do Kohler, American Standard, or Lasco.

The refinishing process can take anywhere from three to five days depending on the tub's size and shape. Tubs are not sprayed one at a time but in batches of four or more, so it doesn't affect your water supply for bathing purposes. We give you an exact date for completion once we have evaluated the job with our technicians. Some tubs can take as little as one day to complete.

The Advantages of Bathtub Reglazing

In your San Diego home, replacing a bathtub entails more than just a hefty price tag. It means tearing down your old fixture, searching for an exact replacement, and hoping it works when you get home. The installation process then starts, followed by a thorough clean-up.

Bathtub refinishing, on the other hand, helps you to:

  • You'll save tens of thousands of dollars
  • Replace your bathtub with one that matches your current furniture or paint scheme
  • Maintain a historic fixture in your older home
  • Finish the job in a fraction of the time
  • Avoid a lengthy remodel project and clean up
  • Use your bathtub the same day or the next day
  • Choose the color you like

You can finally get rid of the old salmon-colored tub with professional tub reglazing! Alternatively, you can avoid the hassle of trying to find a bathtub that will fit into an uncomfortable or cramped space by keeping the one you already have and having the exact look you want.

There are no headaches or hassles.

We will restore your tub to its original condition for a fraction of the cost of a repair.

Care Instructions:

Please give at least 48 hours for anything to heal before using. When sweeping, avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners like Comet or Ajax. Any household cleaner without abrasives will suffice. If you have any concerns about your refinished bathtub, please contact us. Small cracks in the refinished surface can be caused by abrasive cleaners, and anything that gets under the surface can shorten the lifetime of your refinishing work.

We also give a non-slip bottom made of polymer particles, which we can apply for free during the refinishing process.
